Meet Bishop Dan Willis
Bishop Dan was on his way to becoming a neurosurgeon when he felt God calling him into ministry. He answered that call with unwavering faith.
His Story
“And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.”
— 1 Samuel 3:10
At the age of 16, Bishop Dan first heard God’s call to become a pastor. He and his wife, Linda, started with just 16 members in a small storefront in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Nearly five decades later, that small group has grown into the Lighthouse Church of All Nations in Alsip, Illinois: a vibrant congregation of more than 5,000 members representing 72 nations, and one of the largest multicultural churches on Chicago’s South Side. Today he serves as its Bishop. The Lighthouse is more than a place of worship. It’s a community where people of every background can find acceptance, love, and inspiration.
Lady Linda Willis
Since 1977, Lady Linda has served alongside Bishop Dan, co-founding the Lighthouse Church of All Nations and helping it grow from a storefront of 16 into a church home for thousands. Her heart has always beat for children and young people. She led the church’s Christian Education program for many years and created Youth.Org, a youth arts workshop where teenagers explore dance, drumline, poetry, music, and drama.
An accomplished artist and interior decorator, she also founded Three Sister’s Beauty, an organic body, hair, and skin care line for the whole family. Known for her grace, strength, and gentle leadership, she continues to touch lives through her devotions and teaching.
The Willis Family
Bishop Dan and Lady Linda are the proud parents of four children, Melody, Rachel, Holly, and Chad, and grandparents of eight.
